I finally got around to watching the Kardashian wedding. Yes, I watched it after she filed for divorce. It just goes to show you that money does not buy happiness, nor does it help for a better marriage. I've often wondered if it would help though. Many of us struggle with money and wish for more. I think it certainly makes us more down to earth that we have certain struggles. It humbles us.
I also think that celebrities think that marriage is disposable. Why? I think they forget that till death do us part is a commitment. Do they even try? Come on Kim 72 days? That's not even time to get used to living with someone, let alone time to make the decision to call it quits. Then she apoligizes to her fans, really!?! Why not apoligize to your soon to be ex for roping him in. I really feel bad for the bloke. It seemed the wedding was all about her. I know us girls fantasize about the wedding and most guys dont give a crap with the details. He seemed to take an active intrest in the details, and actually put her in her place a few times. Maybe she couldn't deal with that.
Enough about celebrity nonsense. When you get married, I definately don't think people tell you how hard it is. It's a lot of work and a lot of compromise. But, it is very rewarding as well. My husband is my best friend. Even when we seperated for a while, I talked to him everyday. Even when he's obnoxious, he's still my best friend. I couldn't ask for more. :)
